Reminders

Reminder One:  Teachers will be escorting students to the west door for dismissal.  Please wait in the entryway or outside the front door to pick up your child.

Reminder Two:  If you choose to bring your child to school before the 8:15, please keep these things in mind:  students may drop off their backpacks and place them on their hooks but then they need to return to the gym and wait with the rest of the students before being escorted to their rooms after the first bell.

Reminder Three:  Pre-K children should place their plastic blue folder in the red basket when they come into the room

Reminder Four:  Cubbies

One is being used for rest time items (i.e. blankets or stuffed animals).

The other is being used for tennis shoes and the extra clothes that were brought from home.

Reminder Five:  Lunchboxes

Mrs. Worral has decided that the children should start putting their lunchboxes on stop of the cubby units not inside each child’s cubby.  Thank you!

Reminder Six:  Cubby use during winter

When it starts getting cold and the first snow arrives, one of the cubby spots needs to be used for boots.  The other cubby may be used for extra clothes and tennis shoes.  If your child still wants a blanket or stuffed animal for rest time, it will have to be of the smaller variety so that it can fit in the cubby with the tennis shoes.

Reminder Seven:  Restroom

Please have your child use the restroom before school begins

Reminder Eight:  A paper copy of the newsletter is in the clear paper holder by the Pre-K door on the left side.

Reminder Nine:  Paper copies of the classroom newsletter, the Pre-K snack schedule, the breakfast menu, and the lunch menu are posted on the bulletin board in the hallway by our room just in case you need to reference them.

August 31-September 4, 2009

Monday: We had a busy day today!  The children are learning the routine and what is expected of them.  We learned about God creating the world.  They had fun during center time

Tuesday: Today we learned about how God, our heavenly Father, takes care of us by giving us fathers and mothers who love us.  He also takes care of our sins by sending Jesus who died to take away our sins.

Wednesday: God also takes care of us by giving us police officers and firefighters who protect us from harm and fires. We made A’s and triangles with our bodies. Also sang songs about the months and days of the year

Thursday: Mr. Jay, our music teacher, taught us the song “Who is the king of the jungle?”  today.  We get to pretend to be a monkey and also get to spell J-E-S-U-S.  Mrs. Worral taught us “The Butterfly Song”.  We pretend to be a butterfly, robin, fish, crocodile, worm, kangaroo, bear, etc.  It was fun to do all of the actions!

Friday: Today we looked for A’s and 1’s in the classroom, and the hallway.
