Pre-K News September 7-11, 2009

Monday: No School

Tuesday: Today the children played a game where they had to find their name bear. Recess was inside because of the rain.  Lunch was in our classroom because we needed the gym for indoor recess.  The children watched a movie about the fruit of the Spirit while they ate their lunch.

Wednesday:  Pre-K talked a lot about using words to solve problems.  The book Bear, Your Manners are Showing was read to remember to use the words “please”, “thank-you”, “I’m sorry”, and “excuse me”.  Chicken Rice Casserole was not a favorite for Pre-K children today at lunch.  May want to send a cold lunch next time it’s on the menu.

Thursday: Oh, my!  What a very warm day!  Favorites on the field at recess are hula-hoops, jump ropes, and finding all sorts of bugs. J

Friday: Today is the end of week two of school.  The children are doing so much better with standing in line and waiting patiently, walking quietly in the hallway, and putting their folders in the red basket in their classroom.
